Remember when having a colored landline rotary phone was something to aspire to? My parents rented a single plain white rotary phone from their phone company until the service stopped being offered in the late 90s. Like the black & white pictures in our photo albums, memories of that phone make my childhood seem like it happened much longer ago than it really did.
I’m guessing that this much-worn piece of pasteboard was the back cover of telephone book. The other side (not shown) is printed with spaces for important numbers which my parents filled in with information on my first pediatricians, so it dates back to the mid 70s at least.
